Operation Falafel – Alia Plaza
A fast-casual fit-out at completion has a particular character: the space is at its most resolved and least worn, and the photographs need to capture that moment with enough fidelity that they remain useful references long after daily operation has introduced the marks of use. For Operation Falafel at Alia Plaza in Riyadh, I moved through each zone, the service counter and kitchen interface, the seating areas in their different configurations, the way branding has been applied to surfaces and structural elements, to provide both a spatial impression for prospective customers and a material record for the design team.
